Carla hated showing, but nevertheless she was still a Best in Show winner at Open Level and a Crufts Winner. She was placed second at Championship Shows in limit so many times and I even have a critique from one of our Top All Rounders stating “This bitch cheered up considerably once the prize cards had been given out.”
I could almost hear her saying ”Yippee, it’s over!!”

Carla was a self-employed nanny to our daughter whom she guarded religiously never leaving her side. Our daughter used Carla as a walking aid when she was toddling - you couldn’t wish to meet a kinder dog. She was well constructed and moved like a dream, just happier out of the show ring.
Carla died of an aneurysm - 1990 to 2000
