~~~ MIKE ~~~ Mike was brought up with a Border Collie and a variety of animals. Mike attended Plymouth College of Further Education achieving his City & Guilds as a Motor Vehicle Technician. He then went on to gain National Craftsman and then studied further to gain his teaching qualifications. He runs his own successful business within the motor industry. At the time of writing, Mike is: Vice-Chairman – South West Dobermann Club Vice-Chairman, Treasurer & Show Manager - Plymouth & District Canine Society Group Steward – Paignton & District Fanciers Association Mike is included on the Dobermann Breed Council “A3” judging list
~~~ DEBBIE ~~~Debbie was brought up with a Border Collie, a Yellow Labrador and again, a variety of animals. Debbie always had a love of horses and used to ride cross country, also riding side saddle and started show jumping. Debbie attended Plymouth College of Further Education training as a Personal Secretary. She worked in this field for a while before re-training, gaining her City & Guilds and working within the Social Service network. Debbie also assists with the rescue of Swans in distress. At the time of writing, Debbie is: Secretary – South West Dobermann Club Secretary – Plymouth & District Canine Society Committee Member – South West Working & Pastoral Breeds Association (Having previously been Treasurer for 10 years) Debbie is a Kennel Club approved judge of Dobermann at Championship level and has awarded Challenge Certificates to both sexes of Dobermann in all four of the home countries and has just been approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates for Belgian Shepherd Dogs. She is on numerous judging lists within the Working & Pastoral groups. ~~~~~~~~~~~ As part of a Committee, Mike & Debbie both help to run fortnightly ringcraft dog training classes and regularly host Kennel Club required seminars, also helping with rescue and re-homing of Dobermann. We have gained so much pleasure from the world of dogs that we work very hard to give something back through our Committee work. We are always ready to extend a helping hand to anyone who asks.
